Fancy a career in the music industry?
We have a range of music technology courses to suit you. They are all delivered on a one-to-one basis which give you the fastest route to learning and the best hands-on experience in a professional, fully digital recording studio.
Our intensive crash courses are designed to give you the fastest and most intensive training on a wide variety of topics relevant to today's music industry. Unlike a course you may study at a college or other public learning institution, all our training is delivered on a one-to-one basis in our fully digital recording studio, which means learning is faster, more thorough and most importantly you will get that all important hands-on use of the studio equipment at all stages of your training. This will give you the most valuable qualification in the music industry - experience! The more experience you have the further you can travel down the path to your chosen career in music, whether it be production, sound engineering or another specialist area of the music industry.
The entire training program is very flexible as you can book your training sessions when you like and as frequently as you need them. It is also split into fifteen mini crash courses, each being an intensive 2 hour session on a different aspect of music technology. The courses are designed in a progressive order, starting from the basics of MIDI and taking you through subjects such as Hard Disk Recording, Digital Audio Editing, Music Production in Cubase VST and Digital Sampling to name but a few.
It is not essential to do the courses in the set order but it is highly advisable to be sure simply that you do not miss out on anything vital to the other crash courses. Similarly if there is a subject you wish to skip because you have covered it previously, this is not a problem either, however a little revision never goes a miss! If you find a particular topic a little confusing, or just need that little bit more experience on a particular piece of equipment, extra tuition or studio time can be booked to go over it as many times as is necessary.
Although it is not necessary to complete all the crash courses (you can do as few or as many as you like), the more modules you do, the more knowledge you will have and the hours you put in count towards a final practical and written exam. As all your studio time is logged you will have a permanent record of your training and your studio experience, along with written reports on each course module to show to prospective employers, and a certificate should you opt to take the final exam. Any additional time you spend in the studio is also recorded in your personal log book.
After completing a course, Energy Music will also provide you with references whenever you need them, whether you are applying for a professional position or progressing to further training. We will also, upon request send our recommendations to your prospective employer or establishment - another way all the hours you have put in can really pay off.
Please call 0121 682 0702 for details, or e-mail us with details of your postal address so we can get an information pack out to you. Your first step towards a career in music starts here! |
